I teach my classes at a private training studio, and the attendance is all over the place during this time of year. It’s tricky in Chicago. On one hand, it’s January and everyone has super ambitious weight loss goals. On the other hand, it’s Chicago. The weather is brutal. The sun barely comes out. Everyone wants to drink wine and hibernate for at least the first three months of the year. And the problem seems to get even worse as we get older.
So anyway, after you get past all of the reasons why you can excuse yourself from the gym, let’s get into solution mode! Based on my own experience, what I hear from clients, and personal observations, here are 7 ways to stay motivated to work out when it’s freezing outside.
